If you are interested creating videos for most blog posts, then go for it. Make the video, write it out in a short piece, and then extract the voice for podcasts. Combine the podcast to a podcast feed that you can create pretty easily at Feedburner and then add the video to You Tube and other video depositories. Now insert the YouTube video at the top of the post, add the podcast in the post as well, and then paste the text underneath. Lots of effort but should pay dividends.

Each and every week fire off a message summarizing the previous couple of blog posts and post links to them. Don’t assume because a person subscribed to your mailing list that they also read your previous posts and that they’ll read future posts. Just link to the articles that’ll be pertinent for some time, not posts with content that won’t be relevant later.

As far as getting people to your web site, I ordinarily first add the site to Traffic Bug for initial exposure. Then immediately after publishing each blog post I would submit each of them to Traffic Bug, then “spin” the textual content of the blog post and post it to Jet2Submitter to get onto the article repositories, then to Syndicate Kahuna or Article Marketing Automation to get onto niche related blogs, and after that change the arrangement to some extent and post to Free Traffic System to again get backlinks from multiple niche blogs. Link back to your main page and your recent post from these submissions. After that generate a PDF file, using Open Office, of one of the “spins” that you can pull out from Jet2Submitter or Syndicate Kahuna and post it to the PDF sharing web sites.
